So this is the new Sennheiser SC 660 USB. Well, it’s not new, but it’s brand. But it does come with the mute. So this is the new SC 160 USB. So, again there are multiple variants. You can get it. Now let’s talk about the build quality, and I will tell you upfront this thing does not feel perfect. It has an all-plastic build quality, and it is very cheap. Still, on the plus side, it is very light on your head there is no padding on the headband if you have a sensitive top of your head. The baby gets sensitive.
It has a non-ear style, so they do sit on your ears. Still, they don’t apply too much pressure, so there’s nothing to be concerned with little foam on the ear cups. So you’re not getting much cushioning there either there’s a decent amount of expandability to fit multiple heads sizes. The cable does attach to both earphones.
The line is a bit weak feeling. But it measures in at two meters.
So it does have a decent length to it. It also has an inline control to adjust the headphone volume and mute your microphone, and the cable terminates into a USB port as far as the specs when we look at the headphones. This thing has a frequency response of 42 Hertz to 17 kilohertz and SPL of 95 decibels, and an impedance of 32 ohms as the microphone. It has a frequency response of 90 – 15 kilohertz and a polar pattern that is unidirectional or cardioid. It’s been so long since I’ve done this.

It’s available in four different colors. And today, I’ll be reviewing the black version. Even though the headset’s redesigned, it still comes in that standard gray Logitech box. the package includes the wireless USB dongle, a USB to USB-C cable, the detachable microphone, and the g733. The build is entirely plastic all the way around, but it feels like it’s a pretty good quality in that it’s going to be pretty solid.
But there’s one exception, and it’s where the earcups connect to the headband. I can’t see how it’s connected underneath there because there’s not much room to get a good view. But it doesn’t give me an excellent, confident feeling. I understand that it’s been designed to be flexible and to move around. So that it can fit a bunch of different head shapes and stuff like that, But if I had to guess where this headset might break, it would be right here other than that though it’s pretty solid feeling the ear cups are stable, the headband’s solid.
And actually, this headband has the rubbery feel to it where you can twist it out like 180 degrees in either direction, not that you’d ever want to do that. But it just gives you an idea of how crazy flexible this design is. So one of the significant changes here on the g733 is the inclusion of this elastic suspension strap. It’s similar to the plan we’re used to seeing on the steel series arctic series of headsets. And that’s a good thing because those are comfortable headsets.
Thanks to that type of design. So we’ve got that here on the g733. And it has a little bit of adjustability so that it’ll help it to fit a variety of different head sizes. And also, Logitech selling these headbands separately. So you can buy different colors and different designs and stuff like that.
If you wanted to customize the headset a little bit and maybe if you’re super talented, you could find a way to make your own when it comes to the ear cushions on the g733 Logitech, absolutely nailed it. They gave us excellent soft cloth material on the contact surfaces. None of that fake leather garbage gets all hot and sweaty and feels gross. These things feel nice and cool and soft.
And they’re comfortable all the time. And there’s an excellent thick foam padding around the ear cups. So, it enhances the overall comfort of the headset. Now, these earpads are removable, but they’ve got a little bit of a unique shape to them. So I don’t think it will be that easy to go online and find replacement ear pads. If you wanted to swap them out, they’re probably incompatible with the standard shape and sizes that you can find online. But thankfully, they’re comfortable. So you’re probably not going to want to do that but still, even if you can’t replace them.
Being able to remove them is still a good feature because it helps with cleaning. You can pull them off, clean up the drivers, clean up the ear cushions, and then put them back on. And you’re good to go. I measured weight of about 284 grams, and that includes the detachable microphone. Now that’s not exceptionally as lightweight as the razer black shark headset.

So if you want to replace it, you get a wireless dongle. And this is what provides the wireless functionality on this. It’s got a g logo on them. They’re all matte black finish all the way around.
You get a charging cable USB a connect on one end, and type c on the other cable length is 180 centimeters, and cable quality feels good. You get a microphone got a 3.5 mil connector on there, and the size of this is 10 centimeters. And it is flexible and has a good build quality to it coming onto the headset. The build of this is strong plastic around matte black finish on there. But you’ve got the g733 in glossy black embossed in there, then you’ve got the g logo at the side.
And that’s a chrome finish on there and the same on the other side too. It’s adjustable at the ear cups. So if I move them, the step counts are just there, and the same applies on the other side. You’ve got a headband at the top and are very friendly and comfortable. This is removable as well, just a matter of pulling it away. And there are two adjustments on this. And you can replace these two. It’s dual-color, and each headset has a different color for this headband. The headset itself is very light, only comes in at 278 grams. It’s got 40-millimeter drivers here.
The earpads are of dual-layer memory foam and are nice and comfortable. I push it down the memory foam goes in and slowly comes back up again. This is removable too. So you can take it off for cleaning. The 40-millimeter driver just over here the earpad indicates the side it goes on so obviously right. And then you’ve got left there on the left-hand side.
You’ve reached the microphone connection point and looking at the end of the microphone connection. There’s a line there you just got to ensure when you push it in. it goes all the way in, and the line disappears. You know you’ve pushed it insufficiently coming around. You’ve got the mute button volume control tactile feel to this as you’re turning it power button and type c charging point right-hand side. There are no controls on here.
The sides here have RGB, and if I turn the headset on, there you go appears. So if you’re a streamer, it’ll look pretty cool if you had that coming on. The wireless range on this is around 20 meters. Battery life on this is about 29 hours with a volume of 50 and no lights on. When you turn the lights on, that drops to 20 hours to use the headset with your pc.
