4- You can see the plus (+ ) button on the lower of the list of audio devices, just click on this button plus ( + ) and select “ Create Multi-Output Device ’’.

5-  After that just click on Multi-Output Device just created to select it,  now you should select “ Use this Device for Sound Output ’’ from the gear menu at the bottom of the sidebar on your desktop. If you also want to play sound alerts ad effects through the audio device, so select “ Play Alerts and Sound Effects Through this Device ’’ from the same menu that you have used in the previous step.

6- Now it is the time to select your two pairs of headphones, here we are ready to select these two pairs of headphones. In the list of your example audio devices, you will check the boxes next to “ Steve’s  AirPods ’’ and “ Built-In Output ’’.

7- Next, in this step of this easy trick we have to setup one device as the

“ Master ’’ output device another device as “ Slave’’. You can see that the Master device is listed as Built-in Output.

If wired headphones are not exhibiting a lag in receiving the sound signal from the Mac, then you will set them as your Master device. For the AirPods, you must check the “ Drift Correction ‘’’ box to keep your two sets of headphones in perfect synchrony.

8- Now you can quiet your audio MIDI Setup app because everything has setup properly.

 Now launch System Preferences from the Dock and Apple menu, to begin sending Mac audio to both of your headphones, then click on the sound panel, click on the Output tab, then select the Multi-Output device from the list of your audio output devices carefully.

Can Mac connect to multiple Bluetooth devices, is it possible?

Yes, technically you can connect up to seven Bluetooth devices to your Mac, but in the case of Apple, it recommends you don’t hook up more than three or four at once or at the same time.
